I have a 72 GS and I am installing an electric trunk release. How do I get the lock out of the trunk lid? I removed the three bolts and the lock mechanism (bar) is still in the latch. I see a "u" shaped piece that seems to be holding the lock in place but I don't want to pull it out until I know what I am doing! Thanks Tim
pull it, its the only way to get it out, flat srew driver to get it out and a thumb to push it back on. It'll take a couple trys but its easier than it looks.
