Tubes or NO tubes?

    Does any one run slicks without tubes in then to keep down the the weight just wondering i run a 30x 9.0 tire

    No body runs tubes any more.

    what are the benefits of no tubes and does the tires still hold air??

    This is good timing for this thread, my 15x10 Weld ProStars and 28x12.50 ET Streets just came today! If I don't run tubes do I need to use some kind of sealer around the bead?

    with the heavier weight o fthe cars you guys have,keep the air pressure at 12psi or more......No tubes,No screws.
    Coat the inside of the sidewall w/ DAWN dish soap,They'll hold air,no problems.
    My 10.5 x 30 Goodyears held air all winter w/o tubes.
    IF you want,You can also use 3M weatherstrip adhesive on the bead,But after the first pass,the tires will seat and stop moving from what I have seen.
