Pulled this out yesterday and moved it to a friend's new house. He parked it in the early 90's after getting one too many tickets in it. Was perfect then, just shut off the key...hasn't been touched since. Probably sit another 15 years before anything is done, not for sale. Lots of people stopped and asked while we were loading it up. May have a resurrection party in my garage over the winter. We need some entertainment in the middle of January, February and bringing one of these "barn finds" back is fun. Too bad it wasn't a few years older, but remarkable for 30 years old.
YUP. Like I said, not my favorite year, but really looks great with those Enkei wheels. Very nice car under all that dirt.
I don't see skid marks on the trailer, so I guess it rolled. I had a client who parked a 78 anniversary edition to save it, and never touched it either. The parking brake froze up, and he had to drag it!ou:
Friend warned me about that, too as it happened to him on a similar car. We wee lucky. My winch decided to take early retirement, so we had to go rent a come-along. I was surprised the brakes wee still good...well it had some pedal.....It does have the stainless conversion.
At least he had the windows rolled up and the hood shut. How many of these garage/barn finds do you see photos of with the driver window down halfway, and the hood popped with the air cleaner laying off to the side. Why not just invite all the elements and critters inside! DOH! It's bad enough leaving a car to sit for that time without paying any attentinon to it.
Saw no evidence of critters in the interior and no mouse piss smell, but didn't open the hood. Did see evidence of some mouse nests in both tailpipes/mufflers. Have to remember to not stand behind it when we do get around to starting it up.  Didn't even think about checking to see if he removed the battery. Maybe some bad news there.
