The addition of a shift kit, should only be done to a transmission in good general condition. If you install a shift kit into a trans that is in need of a rebuild, you may just hasten it's demise. You shouldn't have any problem finding someone to rebuild a THM 350 for a reasonable price. Call around to different trans shops, and see what they charge.
