Turbo 375b th375 transmission - Will it fit?

I have a freshly rebuilt 350 ci engine paired up with a stock Buick 2-speed auto trans. There is an inexpensive TH375 trans core for sale locally that I could rebuild but I don't know if it will fit or not. The seller says it is the same as a TH350 short shaft.
My engine, 2-speed trans, and car is a '69 Skylark. I'm a novice at this and need a little help from you experts!

It was used in the '70's for smaller engines that didn't require the strength of the TH400 but I've not heard anything bad about them. The TH375 and TH350 would both bolt in. I believe you'll have to wire a switch for detent (passing gear).

The 375 is a lighter duty TH-400. The TH-375B is a heavy duty version of the TH-350 that was used in trucks and van usually behind a 350 chevy engine. I have never seen it used in a BOP application.

Like Larry stated, there are more clutches in the TH-375B than in a TH-350, because the clutch pistons in the clutch drums (forward and direct) and case (low and reverse) are different.

Ahh, got it. Thanks for the clarification. GM gets an F for naming two different transmissions so similarly.

So I think I understand the consensus to be that it WILL bolt right up in a '69 Skylark with a 350 Buick engine, correct?
If yes, it is a beefed-up version of the TH350 so should be able to handle ~400HP?

As I stated earlier, the only TH-375Bs that I have seen were in Chevrolet/GMC trucks and vans, which would have a Chevrolet bolt pattern.

Whatever you buy, make sure it has a BOP bolt pattern, as the Chevrolet pattern will not work without an adapter.

Thanks a lot Ken. The person who has it for sale had it bolted up in a Skylark. I'll ask him if had to use an adapter or not.

I do have a few of these 375 trans in BOP trans pattern.

There are pics here of the trans boltpatterns, and also the specs you need to make driveshaft mods and move the crossmember for your swap.

All the TH375 is a 400 with a turbo 350 out put shaft and yes it has a mod not a TV cable. It was used in the 80's in light duty vans mostly. It as the same pan as the 400, the onlt differents is the O/P shaft. Sean Your transmissions with the multiy bolt patterns, don't they have the same pan as a th350? Chris
