Hi all, just joined the club today, though I'd been lurking for a few weeks. Need a trans dipstick tube for my 70 Skylark w/ t400. Is anyone selling them new? As I recall, it's the same as the turbo 350, no? If I have to go to the boneyard, what years/models are the same? Thanks in advance. --Craig Stangohr
I don't think there's a difference from one tube to another - even across Caddy/Olds/Pontiac. Chevy might have been slightly different since the tube bolts onto the bellhousing & the Chev is its own bellhousing bolt pattern. A junkyard should be able to provide one easily at a minimal price.
