I am trying to get a reccommendation for a buddies 87 turbo car, for what rear gears he should run. It is stock and he plans to keep it that way. It is a Regal Limited, and he thinks it has around 3.25s in there now. Any input would be appreciated... Thanks, Mike
If it is the original rear in your friend's Turbo Regal it should have 3.42 gears in it and it's an 8.5 10-bolt. All GN's and Turbo Regals in '87 came with that ratio but not all were posi's. 3.42's are perfect for that car in my opinion. Mine got over 20mpg highway and with some bolt on's ran a best of 11.76 at 116. Ken
