Does anyone have a recommendation for an under hood insulation kit for a ‘67 GS? The one I have is cut for multiple applications and is falling apart. I also am looking for a correct set of suspension covers - rubber pieces that attach to the inner fenders. Thanks
Try Todd at Stage 1 Restoration. He doesn't show them for the 67, only 68-72 but he may have connections to get them. The Parts Place has a mat of it you can cut your own out of. 1967 Buick Skylark/GS/Regal/GN HOOD PAD INSULATION UNIVERSAL BLACK 48 X 72 - 1" | Buick Skylark/GS/Regal/GN Parts | EN80969Z (thepartsplaceinc.com)
I used this one on my car and it fit perfect.................https://www.opgi.com/gaskets-seals/.../insulation-hood-1964-67-skylark-s210016.html
Hi Duke, I bought these but didn't end up using them because they touched my headers. They fit well to the inner fenders though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-67-Bu...2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
Thanks for the latest info. I had the under hood insulation from opgi in the past but it was stamp cut for multiple applications. It eventually disintegrated along cut lines still remaining. I will re-look at this one. Not a big fan of opgi though. Thanks for the tip on the suspension covers!
