I have to replace the fan motor on my 55 century heater ( under seat) does it drop out the bottom or come out the top. I have checked all my manuals and can't find any information on how to remove it. I'm down to having the fan blade removed, before I go any further I want to make sure that I'm going in the right dirrection. any information would be appreciated. buckeye

I have a '55 service manual, and unfortunately, it does not provide any information as to the replacement procedure of the heater core or fan.

    That's right

Take the hoses off from underneath the car. Unbolt and disconnect wiring from inside Then the entire unit comes off the floor. It's easier with the seat out of the way. But you can do it with the seat in place......

If any one is intrested I found that a blower motor for a 1960-1963 ford pickup is a perfect replacement, it is the same as used in the buick. Buckeye
