Yup, flat black. As for the wheels, well........I really wanna find some Torque Thrusts. But we'll see. The Buick rallyes aren't in very good shape. Plus I mounted the rears on 7" wide's only to discover they don't clear the drum, so I'm running spacers.
Dan, the car looks great! I really hope you're able to find some Torque Thrusts... I'd love to see the difference it'd make in appearance. :TU:
See what you did Dan??? Now I want a Wildcat too. Just when I was starting to get used to my Skylark.
Sweeet. You don't see flames on big Buicks every day... and flat black paint, to boot. As nice as the rallys look, different wheels would be cool, too. What'd you use to jack up the back end a bit? Nick
Nick, The back is up a bit, but the angle of my yard makes it look higher than it is. Plus the interior and trunk are still empty.
sweet!!! that paint job looks just like that one guy's 69 skylark convertible.. the one in Tennessee i think? Eggs built his 430. anyways, that is a great looking 'Cat!
The guy is Brian LaPlant and the car is a 68 GS 400 covertible. It's a triple black car that I think is Canadian. And I'm 99.9% sure there's a 455 in there.
that's right, LaPlant! and i believe you are correct, it is a 455. man that thing moved!! oh, aren't you the Canadian expert now, eh?? p is Hosehead behaving?
Hosehead might get a new turbo before too long (TA-49 maybe, though Davey is talking me into a TA-60. It'll get 60lbs injectors too). Though I've been looking into an alky kit, so it might get that instead. Either way I'm going to need new tires. Those short one's from the front will die horrifically.
here's that 68! sorry, Dan, didn't mean to hijack your thread.. but it just reminded me so much of this car. :TU:
