Does anyone have any suggestions of how to beef up the suspension on my '63 Skylark to accept the weight of a large Nailhead? Thanks

Heavier front springs, good shocks, larger diameter stabilizer bar (sway bar).
    rebuild/rebush front end.

This will support the weight but you sill still have small spindles/hubs/bearings.
You will also want to put a rear in the car which can handle the torque.
