So I have a set of heads from a 72 350, would like to use them on a 76 350 block.....any issues? Which new head gaskets should i use? 72s? 76s?
    Thanks

72 and 76 would both take the same fel pro head gasket . What brand gasket are you trying to use?

It will be def Felpro, just wasn't sure if water passages may have changed between 72 and 76....
    Thanks

No problem there. The rule of thumb is that when you are using the 74-80 block then you can use any year cylinder head. The fellpro head gasket works in any 68-80 engine. The trick is that the later block has an extra scallop to support the head gasket when using the later heads. If you were to use a 68 block with 76 heads then the block wouldn’t seal the up coolant scallop as the block wouldn’t support the gasket at that area. When people try that coolant pours into the lifter valley.

And if you put the head gasket on upside down, the coolant leaks out all over the floor when you fill the radiator. Just make sure you read the "this side up" written on the gasket.
