The sound of a V12 is nothing compared to a V8... Even a V10 Dodge doesn't sound like the real thing.
That's a cool motor.........but I'd like to see a v-12 alluminum nailhead :Brow: ..........but then again, any Nailhead lights my fire!
Now that's what my Centurion needs!!! Damn that's a gorgeous engine. A straight 6 or a V-12 are naturally balanced. Mix that with 12 bangs per cycle instead of 8 and I bet that thing would be silky smooth. Yummy!!!
Go to any air show with a P-51 or Spitfire and listen to the smooth rev of an Allison/Rolls Royce/Packard V-12. It sounds WAY better then any V8. Only thing that sounds better is a radial piston engine. :Brow:
I've owned quite a few Jaguar XJS and Daimler Double Six V12's over the years, but never liked the sound of them. Not even through Flowmasters... :3gears:
I'm with nailheadina67. An all aluminum Nailhead V12 based on the 425. That would be over 600 cubic inches! :3gears:
Very cool looking engine!! :bglasses: Can't help but wonder, if they wouldn't have been better off putting the injectors down by the head.....instead of at the other end of the runner. o No:
