I come home from work the other morning and im walking past my buick and something sticks out to me.. Almost like a bright neon sign was pointing at it. I ran over to check it out, and someone hit my car with their door. 2 - 3 times... The truck was parked right next to it, and the door lined up with one of the scratches, plus my white paint was on their door. It was obviously the truck of a teenage girl. Had leopard seat covers with matching steering wheel cover, a flashy purse, and cd's everywhere inside... We have reserved parking spots, so I went to the apt of the parking spot and they told me that they dunno who was parked in their spot, but they are waiting for them to move so they can park back in it.. I couldnt find the owner of the truck, so I went to the apts office to see if they knew. They didnt know. I came back and the truck was gone... GRRRRRR... :wallbash:

The scratches from that inconsiderate b***h. No trying to buff these out, they took the paint off in some spots. Almost like they forced their door into my car cause one of them is about an inch wide... wtf

That really sucks. May I ask why you didn't bother to take the lisence plate number?

I know it's a he said/she said thing, but at least you may be able to track her down.

Or, next time, you can stay far away from idiots like that with your GS. :Do No:

Remember, to them, your car is just another car. That really sucks. I hope you're able to buff it out without much grief.

You know, that same thing happened with the wagon about 8 years ago. I came out of a restaurant to find my old junker with a 6" dent!! OK, Wagon's not the prettiest of cars but at least leave a note!

The truck had my nice green paint on the door edge.

The couple was easy to track down though, they came back into the restaurant 20 minutes later compaining that someone had taken thier licence plate off and let all the air out of thier tires.

The wierdest thing though... The guy actually admitted he saw the dent and wasn't going to leave a note, apologized, then offered to pay for full repairs! I nearly died of shock. I carry a 12V compressor with me, had them on the road again in 10 minutes.

Ya tried to be a nice guy about it but you should of just called the police as soon as you saw it and filed a report.

    People!

The (future) wife and I were sitting in a Dairy Queen parking lot the other night, and the car next to us backed out and ran into a pickup behind us. Luckily for them they hit the truck in the rear tire. The guy in the passenger seat got out, determined there was no damage to the truck (to him), and got back in the car and they drove off.

We watched this thinking that they were going to find out whose truck it was and contact them. When they just drove off we wrote down the license plate number and went into the bowling alley next door and had the owner paged. We all then looked over the truck, and saw no major damage, just a mark on the paint. I left my business card with them and told them to call for a witness account if necessary.

The point is: I would hope that anybody that sees this type of disregard for other peoples property speaks up and helps out. I would be livid if someone did that to my truck, let alone my brand new paint on my race car!

When I was 17 I bumped a car pulling into a parking space, and waited until the owner came out. She said not to worry about it, as it was only a little scratch on a heavily scratched old car.

In my undergrad I did the same thing, leaving a dime-sized ding. I left a note on the car with my number on it - while my best friend said she thought I should just go inside, and that I was an idiot for leaving a note. (Never got a call.)

This were little scratches, maybe as big as the pics. I always owned up. I can't see how someone could do obvious damage, look at it, then leave.

:af: I HATE when that happens!!! :af: Years ago, I had a real clean '76 Riv and I had pulled up to a convenience store. A car pulled up next to me and some stupid drunk in the passenger side whipped his door open and clobbered my car!!! :af: I yelled at him, but he was too out of it to respond. Amazingly, there was no damage. Some people just don't care about respecting other people's property. David

My car was hit twice over the summer, one a sideswipe that took about 5" of paint down to primer.

    I feel for you.
