I was wondering if there is a product on the market specifically designed to clean or restore vinal tops. If anyone knows of one or has any suggestions I would be very interested. Thanks, Jeff.

I once used a product called Topper vinyl coat on a 1970 skylark custom. It came with a special fluid you would mix with warm water and scrub into the vinyl. This would deeply clean the vinyl and open it's pores. After drying you would simply apply the dye with a spounge (in the shade) and the result was a brand new looking top. The dye would dry solid on the top and if you got any on glass or chrome it simply wiped off.Very easy to work with, and a great result.I had the car for almost 10 years after using it and it still looked good.I was lucky (or unlucky) to get it in green because they discountinued that color.I really don't miss that sea green top that much
If you use it be sure to follow the instructions for a great result :TU:

I use simple green to clean mine. If it is faded it is probably best just to replace it.
