As the title indicates, this is the early Holley only B4B, that you would have purchased back in the early 70's, to complete the stage 2 package. This one owned by a customer of mine, he bought it brand new back in the late 60's early 70's, right when they first came out. This is the manifold you need, if your doing either an authentic STG 2 recreation, or building a potent early motor, with a dual plane. Tom Rix reports that it is better than the later spreadbore style, and is what he ran on his top stock car. Fits all Buick BB heads, up thru 71, later heads if you block the exhaust crossover and and AIR ports. These are tough to find, especially in this shape. This one has been cleaned and painted, it shows very nice, and it's never had a grinder in it. All threads look good. The last time I had to find one of these, it took almost a year, and we paid $400 for it.. and it was nowhere near this pretty, and needed a couple heli-coils. So I will offer this one owner vintage intake, for that same price, which I think is more than fair.. as he is looking to move it. $400 Firm- plus the shipping. All forms of payment accepted. JW
Herb, someday you're going to have to send me a list of the parts you've collected so I can rummage through your stuff! Still collecting I see. Have any good condition, original Super Scavengers in your stash?
The "true" original was a Holley mount only, like this one. They're easily recognizable by the little cutaway where the carb mounts (was made that way to accept the Holley 3-Barrel carb). Early made ones also have stepped flanges where they bolt to the heads, which also do not cover the heat passages on later style heads. If your intake looks EXACTLY like the one pictured above, it is an original.
