I would like to repair some rust issues under the Vinyl top of my 70 Skylark. I need to access the area below the corners of the rear window. Will the chrome molding lift off with the proper tools? Im assuming I can stick the vinyl back down and reattach after repairs are made
the stainless surround of the rear window is removable with the right tool. u may be able to successfully pull back the vinyl roof in that area. u may also have to pull back the vinyl behind the quarter window. the vinyl may or may not be water/rust damaged. just be careful pulling the vinyl. after repairs are completed, use 3m glue or contact cement to reattach the vinyl roof.
