Will be installing a new vinyl top on the 68 after it gets painted next spring. I removed the windshield and discovered some minor rust so I fixed it and am now ready to install a new windshield. My question is can a new vinyl top be installed with the windshield in place or does the vinyl top have to be first installed then the windshield?

When a top shop intalls these they do not take out the windshield but just the trim. This should tell you something.

If you have the windshield out....easier to install the top and you will get better quality work.
