do they make any other colors then black and white as far as vinyl tops for a 70-72 skylark?.....i think black with a tan/darker tan top would be sharp...or stratomist with a black vinyl top....what do you think??

Yes the facrtory made other colors in 70. There is a lot of material out there that was not offered also. They will all rot your nice car.

depends on where you live :Smarty:

i was fortunate enough that my car has spent its entire life in my area, there wasnt so much as a spec of rust from the vinyl top.

I had a 75 Riviera parts car with the thick padded vinyl Landau top; although the chassis rusted through at some places there was no rust at all when I removed the top (where I expected to find rust). The car spent all its life outside in a moisty and rainy country where they use lots of salt in winter for icy roads.

So suggestions on easiest/safest way (talking vehicle safety, not person safety) to remove an old "turning to dust" vinyl top?
