what tools are needed. I hear a flex drive or flexable socket. Also if I install rubber gaskets do I need to use any sealant?:Do No:

    flex extension is always helpful.
I recommend putting some silicone on the valve cover side, and let it sit for a while so the gasket will set to it. Then it won't slide around.

Good luck - what a pain in the butt to get that bolt out by the a/c box. I used a knuckle on a socket but it took a while.

I used a 1/4" drive ratchet with a 6" extension connected to a knuckle connected to a 2" extension connected to the socket. Worked quite well.

This is one of the many situations where having a large tool selection comes in handy. I cant tell you how many times Ive done the simplest tasks on my car, then looked down after the job was done and added up $4k worth of tools
