Rick Crawford and I are in the market for a 68-72 Buick 350 2DR Skylark or GS. The car needs to be solid all around. Must be an A/C car and have P/S. This car will be used as a foundation for future 350 performance modifications as well as some bolt on power enhancing products, based around the buick A body. We are not looking for a "project" car nor a resto ride. Just a solid bodied and powertrain that doesn't hurt the eyes. We have several product concepts that require a platform to work with. For years the SBB has been a forgotten soul with regards to the after market world. Hopefuly this will change in the coming months.

    Power adders...

Being that this is going to be a "street-type" power-adder/performance enhancement application geared for a stock 350, the lower the compression and closer to stock, the better. :TU:

As far as price, I believe we are looking at a 5,000-6,000 price range. But do get me lying as it will depend on the car. Depending on how "right" or how "wrong" the car is compared to what we are looking for will dictate on how "right" or "wrong" the price is. The car will be a reflection for a product so and eye sore isn't a good idea as is dumping too much money in a car instead of on the plans for the car......

Anything up there in Mt Airy??

We both have enclosed trailers so it is possible to haul the car. Especially if it is a nice car that may just have a mechanical issue to address.

I may have what your looking for...

I have a 1972 Skylark Hardtop for sale. The car has a black & woodgrain interior and the body is Silver. The engine, trans and rearend have been rebuilt. I have all service records detailing what was done. It has a 350 with a mild cam, a 350 automatic trans with the shift kit. The car has no rust, it is originally from Southern California. The car has a GS hood, rear spoiler, American Racing Outlaw wheels and a woodgrain steering wheel which matches the door trim. The car also has recromed bumpers, the rear is a N-25 (but I don't have the tips) I'm asking 6500.00 or best offer. The car is in Philadelphia. If your interested and want pictures please go to http://brianpenn.com/1972skylarkhardtop/ If you are close and want to come see it you can call me at 215-280-2187.

    Thanks

I don't know if this is what you are looking for. It is a project car. I just bought a "parts" car for my son and I since we just bought a 72 to work on for him. This new 72 I just found local is a skylark custom 350/2bbl auto with PS, PB, disc brakes, AC. It is a local West Texas dry car. It was driven up to a year ago and parked. They took the tranny out to try to put in a suburban, so when it didn't fit, they just left it out. Body is mostly strait and good, probably original paint, which is very tired and scratched up. Interior is worn. Back seat is good and back panels are fine. This car might work for you if you wanted a rust free frame, body and equipment to start with. I got if for parts, but after seeing the condition, I hate to pull it apart.

I have a '70 Skylark that you might be interested in.

Its a 1970 w/ Buick 350 2bbl, TH350, A/C, P/B (4 drums) P/S car. Solid 3 owner (incldg me) Florida car. Bench with a column shift. Its even got the jack and all accessories with a spare in the trunk.

Its not a show car, but it is a great looking, driving solid car. A partial daily driver most of its life, it has a few nicks and scratches that a driver would get, but no dents or damage. Frame, trunk and floors are solid, but there is some surface rust on the trunk floor. Nothing a good cleaning and spraying wouldn't take care of.

The transmission was rebuilt earlier this year, the front suspension/steering a few years ago, all 4 brakes last year and the body was painted w/ new carpet and seat covers were installed about 5 years ago. The paint still shines well. I don't see any waviness in the panels that would be indicative of alot of filler. The car drives, steers and stops very well. The A/C blows cold, cold air. That was a nessessity in Florida!!!

As far as I know, the motor, trans and rear end are all original. My shop in FL did all the mechanicals on the car, and can attest to the regular maintenance interval. The car was driven almost daily and is a great, solid driver. That is why when the owner wanted to sell it, I jumped on it.

I just relocated to Central Illinois and had the car trailered up here last week.

I'm looking for about $8000, but am negotiable. Lets talk, shoot me an e-mail at: "lowflyer001@yahoo.com" Thanks.
