I need the chrome window frame (espeically the bottom horizontal bar) from a 1964 Full Size 4 door hardtop car. This can come from a LeSabre, Electra, or Wildcat. It specifically needs to come from a 4 door car, and needs to be a hardtop, which means no post between the front and back doors. I also need a good, solid cowl from one of these cars. It can be from a sedan, hardtop, 2 door, or four door. What I am referring to is the piece of metal that covers the vent inlet area/windshield washer area and has the two holes for the wiper sticking out of it. Please let me know if anyone has these parts.
Cowl vent panel I believe I have that cowl vent panel you are looking for. Let me check this evening and I will get back to you. Thank you, Matt
I have located the cowl vent. I am still in need of the window frame, and the top Wildcat grille bar.
everything is here as well but the owner of the place wasn't there i could not get a price from him will try again this coming week sorry Greg
I have a drivers door window frame froma '64 Wildcat 4dr hardtop. The chrome is in great shape but the channel for mounting it to the rollers is broken, will this suit your needs?
Taylor, I'll have to look at a different window I pulled from my parts car to answer the question for sure. If I am remembering right, I just need the frame itself. Any other piece of hardware outside of the four sides of the frame is not necessary. But let me check for sure.
Joe, I went and got the frame I have from my garage and the channel is actually still intact and very solid, $40. Let me know if you would like to see a picture or want more details. Thanks for your interest, Taylor
Taylor, I am very interested. If you could take a single picture, I would appreciate it. I am still waiting to hear back from Greg as well. Thanks,
Hi Joe sorry it took so long to get out to that car the 64 wildcat that you got the chrome from still has the doors on them what do you need exactly i guess i need to ask this is a none post car no center post between the doors i think i sent picture back them but my camera seems to be on the blink when i try to download them to my computer somthing like that in the $25 to $35 range he says if you need what comes off the door let me know for sure thanks Greg
Greg, Here is a picture of a back window, just so you can see the guts. I just need the frame assembly from the driver side front, not the glass. I'd like to give you first shot with my money, as you responded first, but let me know. It might not be worth your effort for $25-35 to pull it, whereas Taylor has one sitting around. Like I said though, you responded first. Mine is completely rusted out, so I am looking for a "solid" piece. Pitting is OK, but I wouldn't want anything worse than that.
thats what it looks like i'll get it out and make sure its good before anything changes hands if its good bring it along? Greg
Taylor, I would like to purchase your window surround, if it is still available. The one Greg located was not a good piece. Do you have the piece of the frame that closes it all up, or will it come exactly as pictured? Please let me know. Thanks,
