Looking for a '67 GS 400. Must be rust-free, unmolested, original or restored to original. I am NOT interested in any basket cases or "project" cars. Want one with NO vinyl top (may consider V/T car if it's extra clean with no indications of rust or corrosion). Auto or 4-speed. Prefer one with bucket seats and console, but bench seat with column-shift is also fine. Also prefer A/C, power windows, power seat, tilt wheel, remote mirror, factory am/fm radio, but will consider cars with some or none of these options. Interior must be intact and original or restored to original. Prefer deluxe interior. Also want one with the opera dome lights (not sure if this was standard or optional in the GS 400). The same requirements can be applied for the '69-72 Stage 1, although I realize these cars are rarer and are higher-priced than the '67 GS 400, so I probably have a better chance at getting a '67. My budget is for only about $15K-20K, and I do realize I am asking a lot for what I am willing to spend, but I have seen '67 GS 400s that have sold recently in that price range. I also live in Southern California, so the closer the vehicle for sale is to this location, the better. I may be willing to travel out of state, but only within the Western part of the country. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. Of course, I will also consider a convertible!

Thanks guys! I did send an e-mail to the owners of the '70 GS 455 and the '67 GS. Still waiting to hear back. :TU:

That '67 GS 400 is beautiful! It's a definite winner! Unfortunately, at nearly $50K , my budget is less than half the asking price. But thanks for letting me know about it. If I could find something like that for about $20K, I'd be a very happy man. (It's probably not going to happen). :Do No: I'm quickly learning that finding a nice, rust-free '67 GS 400 is going to be a very tough task. I may have to look for a '70-'72 GS 455 instead. Not easy to find in nice, rust-free condition, either. However, there seems to be much more of them in the market than the '67.

I seen the ad, but I haven't contacted the owner. The reason is because if you look closely at the photos, they show the date "June 30, 2005". Most likely, this car has already been sold, although I don't know for sure. Thanks for letting me know, though.

Still looking... I may be S.O.L. Now starting to contemplate on whether or not on getting a used BMW M3 once my current BMW is paid off, and forgetting about the Buick GS altogether. Sorry. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I am getting very discouraged. Just can't seem to find the car I'm looking for at the price I want to pay. I have even considered a standard '69 GS 400, or a standard '70-'72 GS 455. These aren't quite as hard to find, but it's been a challenge to find the right one.

Roy. . finding a restored or NICE Buick GS "ANYTHING" for what you are willing to spend is a challenge for sure. ALL MUSCLE cars have, and will increase in price as the costs of restorations have gone-thru-the-roof, so to speak. I restore Buick muscle...I KNOW body shop materials, sealers, primers, epoxies, spray eqpt....and on & on, increased almost 250% more than a few years ago! Then you have paint, rubber seals, weatherstripping, trim pieces, CHROME PLATING... & LABOR..YIKES, Labor...!!! ...and, yes, I know, I'm prolly NOT telling you anything you don't already know, but, point is, this hobby is getting more and more expensive, almost by the minute. You just may come across one here or there, AND you gotta jump right on it IMMEDIATELY..or its gone... but you are realizing, overall, 20K won't buy you much of a true musclecar these days. Good luck in your search. BTW..BMW doesn't stand for BUICK Motor Works... :spank:  :pp  Wait and BUY a BUICK! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
