Looking for a 1970-1972 GS convertable project. I would prefer a convert but my wife would rather have a hardtop so I'd consider anything in a 70-72 GS. I'm looking for a solid frame floor type of car and have a reasonable budget for the right car.

    thanks in advance

I hate to speak out of turn but this young man is about to own a 1971 GS 455 4spd Convertible. And that's a rare thing to do.

It will save him a lot of money being cosmetically just about perfect and gone through by Jim Weise. You had your chances but I'm glad to see it go to a new owner who I expect to use it more and show it off.

it's cleaned up, tires pumped up, battery charged up, started up, and ready to go.

Thanks again Mike, you have been nothing short of exceptional to deal with in this purchase. The idea of buying a car that resides 1500 miles away would have been scary/daunting, but that quickly went away. I'm very excited to it showing up here in the next little while. :TU:

Apparently it arrived after being shipped through a bad storm most of the way on an open car carrier in good shape and he's happy. That makes me happy. I hope it enjoys it's new owners. I predict that we have not seen the last of this car on the V8 board. There are very few 1971GS cars set up as GS455 4spd convertibles. When the new owner decides to sell (we all do eventually) it will stick out like a sore thumb.

Mike just thought I'd send you an update on the GS. After changing out all the fluids and doing some minor repairs to pass a safety inspection we are enjoying the heck out of this thing!! It is everything you promised and much more, condition was everything you said and it shows very well. We get compliments on it every time we are out in it, my kids have now mastered the return thumbs up for passer-byes. We have been using it quite a bit lately and as long as I keep my foot out of it actually gets not bad mileage for a 455. ANYONE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BUY ONE OF MIKE'S CARS YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!!!!!!!!
