Wanted: 70 455 Dash Pot. New old stock or really good used one. This is the disk shaped part with a plunger & spring and a threaded shaft that sits on the intake manifold and touches the linkage on the drivers side of the carb. Thanks , Eric
Do you have the mounting brkt? Local yard has a 70 Olds with one on it. I believe Olds used a different mounting bracket.
Think I have one... Eric: I have a dashpot from a 1970 LeSabre or Electra (can't remember which) that I used as a parts car several years ago. It was a 4 door car with a 455. This dashpot is about 4" in diameter, maybe 2.5 inches thick, it has the chain and the mounting bracket for the intake manifold. I tested the diaphragm and it still functions perfectly. Unfortunately it has some red paint on it. I believe it's for the cruise control. If this is the part you need just let me know where to send it, don't want any money for it. Paul
