I have a numbers matching 72 GS 350 convertible. The original hood must have been damaged before I purchased the car. It currently has a fiberglass hood. (but still looks good) Looking for leads on a steel hood in the central Florida area, or within a few hundred miles I may be able to pick it up. I dont need the vents, frames, plates or hindges. Just the hood and latch spring. Thanks Curtis
Even if anyone knows of a yard near Central Florida that might have a GS layin around... Although I'm beginning to think that all steel GS hoods are spoken for....
I was PM'd about my fiberglass hood and thought that maybe more would want to see pictures of it. From the outside, it looks great. Its a great alternative for a damaged one or a skylark turned to GS, but nothing beats the real thing. There are are better ones out there, like the ones from Year One. What I dont like about mine is there is no triangular bracing on the underside. It really "looks fiberglass". It also lacks windsheild washer nozzels and the air vent grills near the cowl. here are a couple more pictures and you'll know why I want a steel hood to go back on....
