Did a speed alert come on a 4 speed speedometer? I am trying to find out if they ever made a 4 speed speedometer with the speed alert from the factory for the 70-72 Skylarks? If so what years was it offered?
I checked the Daily Car Reports for the 1970 GS Coupe and it does show that 115 cars were built with the "B3-K3" (4 speed - Speed alert) combination. So it looks like it was available. :beer
So Andrew, when do you expect to have your car finished!? I'm hoping it's in time for some BOP events up this way in the fall!
Not exactly. My car in is pieces right now, and it will take a few years for me to get it back on the road, unless we have some generous people out there in this Buick world that want to donate parts. :Brow: Sounded good to me anyhow. But it will be awile before she is up and going, but I will make my way to the BOP's in the next year or so to watch.
Hey Ken - That should be a statement, not a question (remove the "Doesn't") :beer PS - let us know when the 'Lisk Bash' will be :Brow:
Yes the auto speedometer has the PRNDL, and the stick one does not. Besides the indicator and bracket that are on the auto, those are the only two differences.
So that's the only difference? I'll admit that after 17 years of staring at the speedo in my '70, whatever it says on that dial is just part of the background to me now. It could say "Eat at Joe's" and I wouldn't know.
