My 70 GSX has laqure paint.

I had an old timer tell me that you need to keep Laqure waxed up so it will not check with age.

Is their any special or reccomended wax to use on Laqure?

The paint is about 10 years old and in excellent shape, would like to keep it that way.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

You may want to try a product called "Liquid Glass." It is actually a laquer, not a wax. But it goes on and comes off like a wax-you don't apply it in a circular motion, though. It is pricey-@ $18.00 a can-but well worth it. Two of my cars have their original paint and I have had real good luck with it. :TU: BTW, nice to see another '68 Wildcat owner-which model do you have? :Do No:

I have a 68 4 door that I saved out of a guys back yard. I have it tucked away for a future steet sleeper project. In pretty decent shape!

Cars in the interior of Alaska dont get much rust at all, very dry here. Winters are so cold that we dont have much of a wet season, once it freezes it stays that way. Summers are dry as well. The cost of Alaska is a differnt story.

    Thanks for the tip! :TU:
