Hi All, I have a question regarding weather stripping adhesive. I have used 3M weather stripping adhesive and have found it difficult to use. It is stringy and dries hard and yellow. It was suggested to me that i use clear silicone caulk instead. What is the best thing to use? Thanks, Paul.

Local parts stores also (should) sell the 3M Black adhesive. I know the local Autozones do both the yellow and the black...

I've had really good results with the 3M Black Adhesive. It dries slower and you don't see it because of the black weatherstrip. Before they made the yellow "super" adhesive, the black kind was the old standard. It's good stuff.
