Does anyone have any tip on removing the old weatherstripping from the roofrail? or is it it just a matter of good old elbow grease? Is there any releasing agents to help remove the old adhiesves. Where is the best place to start from the front or back?

I had to remove the weatherstrip on my car this past weekend and all i used was a sharp object (a chisel or some kind of a knife). i got lucky that it wasnt that bad.
but 2 yrs ago i did the same thing for my '65sky and that was a nightmare.
I've seen some spray on lubrication but i've never had any luck finding it.

Body Shop supplier is the best bet for local source however I think I saw this stuff in the Year one catalog before.
