When are people coming through, or hooking up? Can we meet someplace, or is there already something set up to go.. Can we exchange cell phone numbers or something? That way we can intercept each other at rest stops and stuff like that. I'd like to have a buddy system on the way in case something unexpectedly breaks down. I'm driving down by myself otherwise, and could use some company along the way. Right now it looks like I'll bring the 68GS, so any speed is okay with me. Thanks!:beer

LOL. You wouldn't want to be me going back. Have to leave Salem Sunday morning to drive to Chicago. Then fly out of Chicago Monday morning. Arrive back 'home' in Beijing on Tuesday afternoon. Then again, Marco Polo would be very envious.

Bruce/Shirl, I should wait until Thurs then. Weird thing about this home trip is that I lent my condo to a friend who's having their house remodeled. I have to stay at a hotel. So more time at the drags is better than sitting around in a hotel room in nw burbs. I'll be crashing my own place during the day while they're at work to pack out, work on cars, etc.

Nah, it's just Buick people headed for Salem - not a BPG or GSCA thing. Anyone is welcome, as long as they're headed out Thursday morning. Loyd and you guys will have to discuss routes and times and such. I'm sure something could be arranged to meet with you, Bill. We seem to be having a combination of driven cars and cars trailered. Mike, some of us will be coming back on Sunday as well. It's really easy to shout "Mayday" in one of those, in case something happens. My daughters and I are leaving on Tuesday evening, laying over in South Bend and rolling in on Wednesday. I will miss the caravan to Salem, but would be interested in when everyone is leaving on Sunday. Any chance of a caravan back to Chicago as well as one to Salem?
