Well, our 70 GS 455 convertible did us proud this weekend. We entered it in a local car show at Fairchild Airforce base and it was awarded 1st place in its class. We met a lot of great people and the weather held out. It was nice to see a Buick get some recognition.
Thanks Marco, Name is Larry Damm. I guess I need to try to add that to my Avatar. It was quite a challenge last night to add the picture, but I finally got it. Thanks again.
Congrats Larry! You coming over to Puyallup for the All Buick Open this Saturday? Biggest turnout of Buicks (and v8buick board members) in the state!
THANK YOU >>THANK YOU >>>> THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!....:jd: ....:beer ....... ........ You are the MAN!!!!!!!!! I sent you an email also! Don Who is so very GRATEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was quite a surprise, as we really don't go to the shows to win awards, mostly to meet other car lovers and to enjoy other peoples cars. Chris, I'm sorry we won't be able to make Puyallop this weekend, we are already going to a show in Coeurdlane Idaho. Do they have this Buick show every year in Puyallop? Sure would like to go next year if possible.
Yes they do Larry, this year is the 11th Annual. It is almost always the Saturday of Father's Day weekend, they usually get 150+ Buicks. This year, hoping for 200! It is held in conjunction with "Meeker Days", which is kind of a street fair, with lots of arts and crafts and food booths. Fun for the whole family!
