    hmm...

    hey guys need a hand..

finally got back to my buick and there is a weird puddle under it. (we also had rain today) and its outside...

i see some anti freeze and im a lil worried about that. but everything is full.... and i can squeeze a radiator hose and it;s firm

now here is the kicker. i have stuff under the car that looks like mcdonalds choclate milkshake with a tinge of red to it. its also about the thickness of milkshake though i didnt taste it. the puddle seems to have started near the trans though. (under the front corner under the driver kinda)

now all the dipsticks and fluid heights appear normal and full (was thinking it may have been a head or intake gasket letting go.). though I havent started the car.

it is parked on asphalt and there have been other leaking vehicles there. (mostly oil and ATF) now is it possable for the leaking antifreeze to chemically react with whats under the car in the asphalt?

it is a good sized puddle under the car though.
the only other thing I can think of is that the torque converter some how drained but again its all white around.

    thanks guys.

The white froth sounds like wet tranny fluid to me. Probably from mixing with the rain.

Wish I could be of more help.

I agree with Truzi. Rain mixing with tranny fluid.

Tranny fluid - not to worry

    Has the car been sitting?

The fluid in the torque converter will gradually drain down into the pan. This causes the fluid level to rise, and fluid will usually leak out at the dipstick tube past the o-ring seal.

This whole process happens over a few weeks to a month. Start the car back up and the fluid gets pumped back into the converter and everything is fine (except you might be a half pint of tranny fluid low)

This happens to all of us eventually - it's probably nothing to worry about.

thanks lady/guys this is what i like to hear.

its prolly what happened. I should get a new gasket on the tranny. it sat for about a month. we did have a cold snap within that time. it could also be a quart low now. its weird how its so thick though.

yea i thought about lepricans too. but passed up on that one since well its not a shamrock colored shake.

    ALAN thats flippen helarious.
