Hey gang---I'm new to the game---just got a 72 Skylark convertible a few months back. It came with an aftermarket 13" custom look steering wheel. I would like a black original, and not a 175 dollar reproduction. A model specific would be fine, but my question is will a 69 wheel from a Skylark bolt up without problems? :Do No:

I think I have a lead on one, but am wide open to advice, suggestions, etc.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have a ton of other questions to follow, I'm sure.

Welcome Jim. I think the styles are different. Not to say it wouldn't mount to your column.

Welcome! I am pretty sure that the 69 steering wheel will bolt up, but it may look a little odd in a 72.

Thanks guys---Howard, Adam, Tony, Steve---for a FANTASTIC time at the Sinclair get together. Just the networking alone paid dividends. I need to hang out with folks that know more about my car than me---your expertise saves what little hair I have left.......

We had a blast and look forward to joining the club Thursday and seeing you at show, meets, and cruisin soon.

    Howard---safe travels!

    Have you started sanding yet?

I think I have some extra 2000 grit...I'll check tonight.

Where in town do you live? I might be able to come out and give you a demo on what it does to the paint.
