Hi everyone, I need some direction with regards to the trunk floor of my 1970 Electra. How would I go about reparing the trunk floor with regards to what gauge of sheet metal I should use and what would be the best process to repair the floor. Being that the floor has all these bends and pattern in the sheet metal, I am unsure how to start this. In the past I have done patch panels on my old truck, but that was pretty straight forward, but with the bends in the buick floor and etc what is the correct way to repair it or what would be suitable ?

    Thanks

There isn't anything aftermarket available for these cars-and hard to find a dry parts car donor. I've stopped by the local steel supplier for sheet stock and, after the cutting/prep, bonded them in using body panel adhesive-done this on a couple big Buicks. The steel is cheap-the adhesive not!-good luck

Thanks for the advice, I contacted a local sheet metal place and they would be able to make a few ready made templates that I could user to weld or bond in.

What gauge of sheet is it. I have a 66 Wildcat with the same issues. Let me know how it turns out and what route you went-weld or adhesive.
