    Hi Michael,
I'll more than likely be contacting you about the core support patch panels. Can they be installed with the support in? Or, would I have to rip everything out?

    Thanks,
    Rob

Here is the result of 4 minutes in photo shop (I'm not very good with it yet). Before and after. (Body colored wheels)

    Thanks Chris:TU:

I wonder if those poverty caps polish up? I noticed the front and the rear are different. Maybe he has the original rear caps on the spare snow tires?LOL.

.....hmm, I wonder if anyone is looking for a set of snow tires for there Buick?

More likely than not, he lost the hubcaps in high speed car chases, like the infamous Charger in Bullitt . Of course, if the buick were anything like the Charger, it would have 6 self-re-attaching hubcaps :Do No: .

LOL! Almost like the Dukes of Hazzard when the car landed from a jump and the front end is pushed up then, all of a sudden its straight again.

I think it's pretty cool that it was a undercover car for drug bust's. I hope any of the guys that got busted with that car don't recognize it. Or maybe, you won't see my anymore. LOL!

    Thanks Chris!

More than likely I'll take the car home. I just have to see the true condition of it first. Even though it has some flaws, for the price I can't complain. It was recently PA inspected and the guy told me the right exhaust pipe might need replaced next year. He said the exhaust is original. I feel he took good care of it, for a 72 year old man with 6 classics. It just probably has some issues that need to be taken care of. That, plus somebody needs to take care of it.

Well, I'm picking her up tomorrow:grin: I spoke to the gentleman and when I pick the car up he's taking me to his mechanic who did the repairs and inspections and the bodyshop where the car was painted to talk to the guys on how good the condition of the car was/is! I never met someone who would do this. He wants me to feel comfortable with the purchase of the car and he was upfront about the stuff that was done to it. Get this, the mark that looked like rust on the bottom of the inside rear window was residue of glue and such. He told me when it was used as an undercover vehicle, it had shag carpeting behind the backseat and he didn't get all of it off. He assured me there is no rust under the vinyl top, which makes me feel alot better:) He said that if I'm not happy with it, then I don't have to buy it. So, I can't go wrong here. He said he just wants someone that'll be able to take care of it.

    Man, what a mess!

Well, I went down to get the car and it was completely oppposite of what the guy said! It was basically a junkcar that was repainted with tons of bondo. The trunk was patched, which he said was solid and clean. Also, the engine didn't even have the original air cleaner assembly. The whole car was rusty and in bad shape. After the first minute, I told him I wasn't taking it and walked away. I can't believe how people mis-represent vehicles, both on ebay and via telephone:af: I guess I learned my lesson. Believe me, no longer will I buy a vehicle from ebay!

Rob give him a bad rateing on E-bay....I know this dosent help, but it sure would help others out before they bid on his cars again. I'm sure within a few day that junk car will be back on Ebay again...I still cant believe he went through all that trouble saying that his mechanic would tell you....i think he paid the mechanic off....:af: Its sellers like that, that kinda turns me away from Ebay.....:blast: :spank: :stmad: :af: .....

Yep it does. It just sucks to drive 4 hrs out of the way to see a car that I was hoping to be the one. The seller is just a 72 year old used car salesman.

I went through the same thing recently. It was an '84 Regal to do a 455 swap in. He said it had a perfect body and it would only need buffed. It had a big dent in the front fender, the trunk lock was drilled out, one of the mirrors was literally ripped from the door, all 4 bumper fillers were bad and the front bumper was twisted. He said it had a posi rear and Centerline Wheels. It had an open rear and 14x7 American Racing Wheels. After driving 1-1/2 hours to pick it up I told him to keep it and next time list what he actually had and not what he wished he had! I won't bid on another car on Ebay unless I can look at it in person ahead of time.:af:

Sorry to hear that Rob, it sure sounded like it was the one. Aren't you glad that it wasn't a couple days away though? That would have been a real bummer. I guess the search continues huh? We'll keep an eye out for ya.
