    Drache Typical ****ing Canadian!

Well I've had so many people come to look at my buick but all were just tire kickers and not true buick lovers... except one. He told me he was coming to buy my car for $1200 CDN but on the way he saw someone selling a '69 GS for $1300CDN. I know this car well... it was a pile of rust held together with duct tape and hopes and dreams. I just hope that about a year down the road that guy wishes he would have bought my car instead.

There is no way for me to keep my car so I'm forced to sell it. I don't even have the time to part it out anymore. At the moment the car is sitting at the highschool in their locked compound for safe keeping while I run back and forth to the city (5 hours away). At this moment I'm totally stressed out about selling my car. I was really looking forward to driving it around town and whooping a few 'muscle' cars while I was at it.

I just hope a true buick lover buys it and decides to do something with it and not just some punk who is going to drop in a chevy bigblock.

When I have the time, money, and space again I'll be on the lookout for another buick. Maybe this time a 70 skylark or mabe even a GS!

I'll keep in touch with all of you here!

    Catch ya on the flipside!

~A Hardcore MOPAR lover who keeps ending up with Buicks... is it a strange omen?!~

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

    Hey Kyle....

It takes a certain type of oddball to prefer the 68/69 body over the earlier square cars or the 70-72's that everyone wants.

What with its wierd side check (the last of a Buick trademark ??) and the concave sloping inward rear bumper......you either Love them or hate them as there is no inbetween

Im still trying to sell my Skylark which is a very nice clean original car with a fresh paint job - I cant even get out of it what i've got in.....and Im asking under 5K......

......For a Rust Free, freshly painted 64K car !!!!

Dont feel bad.....Maybe you've got a relative in the stix who will let you park the car in their back 40 for a few years ???

You watch - 3-4 years from now that nice grille and surround you've got will be over $1,000 on Ebay

Good luck - I wish you could keep it to because I know the '69s are a dying breed

Well the problem is I've only got 2 family members within driving distance of me... one lives in an apartment and the other hates me for a very long and personal reason. If I cant get at least $1000 CDN for it I'll just drive it to the local car pawn shop and get as much as I can about an hour before I leave town.

Well I took it to the pawn and they said they would only give me $600 for it... that is less than what I bought it for.... hell the gas alone to get it home was $275!

Well the engine is being soaked and cleaned and I've now got a working radio for it on the way! The engine is perfectly fine it just needs:

    Waterpump
    Gasket Set
    Rebuild the carb
    Camshaft
    Connecting Rod
    Piston Rings
    Cam Bearings
    Crank Bearings

It seems like a lot but at least the block is totally fine! It does NOT need to be rebored... just to get the parts and put back together. I priced all this out from Canadian Tire and it was $550....
