There is a little clip dohickey that goes onto the tip of the rod and retains it to the back of the master cyl. Some cars have it and some dont.... just make sure the rod is sandwiched between the pedal arm and the master cyl, enough that the rod cant jump out and leave you with no brakes.... or go to a source like a parts store or bone yard and aquire another one ,,, but dont drive the car untill you get it resolved.....dont ask me how I know , ,, but I know,,,, had to take a ditch once when the back pin came out of my Bronco, after I had been working on it and forgot about loosening the pin and removing the pin retainer..... at least I did not rear end that line of cars that was stopped at a red light....

My buddy installed a "drive through" in someone's house that way. He was drag testing his car and the rod fell out. Parked the car in the living room of a house. I wish there was a dash cam so I could of seen the look on his face.

Contact "Carmantx", the parts car king of Texas here on the board. Im sure he has a few laying around. Make sure that rod is secure!!!!

I answered your post in the other section, manual or power brakes?

If the brakes are questionable, tow it home...don't play games and injure yourself, someone else are cause property damage...not worth it.
