snowing in colorado in the morning. i am leaving my house in my 98 chevy blazer going south on my road i get from 138th almost to 120th when i see a car headed north with his turn signal on to turn west. (so that would be turning in front of me). i am about 30 feet from the intersection doing 35 mph. then that car pulled in front of me a little car that looked like a geo metro. So i apply some brake nope slided side ways and about recovered from that nope a 2004 ford sporttrack was there bang. i hit his rear quarter and did a couple 360's and wind up in a ditch. That ford was torn up as for me the front clip messed up and all the way down the drivers side the window broke out and is all over my car or what is left of it. So the question is did i do the right thing? :ball:

I don't know. Did the Geo stick around. It would have been better if you had've hit him, because he cut in front of you. Know the cops could say you were over driving the conditions.

Would you have collided with the little car if you did not apply your brakes? Were there traffic lights at the intersection, and what was their status if there were? What is the speed limit on that road? Sorry for all the questions, just looking for a clearer picture of the situation. Hopefully there were no injuries? Sorry about your Blazer...

Not to rub salt in the wound, but, that's why I stayed home from work yesterday.

I did go out to shovel the drive and walks...just about pulled a groin because of the ice and slush under the snow. :Dou:

    Good luck,

    Jim

I guess it's that time of year..My daughter is going to school there and she called me yesterday and said "Daddy, I hit a curb and dented my tire" Me "well honey tires are rubber and you can't dent them, can you drive your car?" Her "yes" Ok good..If you hear any weird sounds or the car pulls to either side call me and let me know!! :Dou:

As for your accident I think you did what comes natural as almost anyone should in trying to avoid another car and keep from killing someone in a smaller car. Depends on the cop that you get and how he/she see's it I guess. They should take the conditions into consideration I would think...Good luck!!! :TU:

What kind of kid are you raising there rick? :spank:

They had on the news last night a clip of "bumper cars". About 12 or so cars on a little hill and as each one would come over the hill, they'd hit their brakes and slide right down into the car in front of them, one after another. One lady even bailed out of her car only to fall on her arse.
