I was cleaning my garage and found a set of used 12 bolt gears in great shape.
I would like to know the origin of them.
    Ring gear GM part #3853010 11 39 10 68
    Pinion gear GM # 385 3008 11 39

I know that these are a 3.55 ratio but what about:
    Year??
    Car???
    etc??
I will put these up for sale soon in the parts for sale forum.
    Thanks
    Tim

10 68 is the manuf. date so those are for a 69 rear axle. Don't know if it is for car or truck. Ask Monzaz or oPh

With that GM mfg date & 12 bolts there are only three possibities...

    -12 bolt Chevy Car
    -12 bolt Chevy pickup ('64 1/2-82)
    -12 bolt Pontiac "P" series ('65-70)

Scratch the truck appl (no 3.55's) & the Pontiac application (not 97xxxxx numbers). They're 12 bolt Chevy car.
