What axle shaft length should I order?

Hi! I'm almost done with my swap to a 8.5'g'body rear end in my 70 skylark. Now I need to order new axle shafts for it and would like to know what length those should be. It's a c clip , 3'90
si think it's from the mid 70's. An id would be great ! I don't know how many splines either... Thanks
    Se attached pic's

Monzaz will be able to help. When I did my 8.5, Jim gave me one of his Invoice #'s from Moser. I called them up, and had them reference the invoice number, then said, "Give me two of those"

If I measure inside the axle tube from the c clip area to the seal at the end of the tube I get 29.13 inches. (74 cm)
Hope someone of you can help me out here!
    Thanks

Just noticed from your pictures your instaLling a 1973-1977 rear in your 1970 lark..??? What gives? How are you bolting that up there? Shock mounts are in the front the spring perches are in the wrong spot and upper control arm casting bosses are all in in the wrong angle and spot on the center section. PLUS the rear is wider. Please confirm this picture...??? Jim

IF this is the actual rear make sure it all mounts up correctly before ordering axles. IF it is truly c-clip axles then you will need 30 3/8"- 30 7/16" long Should be 28 spline axles 1990 -1996 will have the same rear and uses 30 spline axles same length.

If you have bolt in axles rear same version 73 -77 they will be 30 " bolt in axles with 28 spline.

PLEASE you must give more pictures of the control arm area and spring perch area. WE KNOW this is a 8.5 for sure. Please also give pictures of the housing axle tube ends too so we can be sure of the bolt in axle or c-clip axle too.

    Hi Jim!
Thanks for your answer! Yes I know that it's a weird swap but i got the rear end for free and it's totally rebuild.
Im using the mounting brakets from my old worn out 8.2 axle and sins the upper ear's on the 8.5 housing is further apart and in a diffrent angle, im building a pair of custom upper control arms. The only thing is that I don't have any axel shafts for the 8.5 axel. I also need apair of sferical ends for the upper arms so if you have a tip of where I can order those and the proper axles I would be really happy lol!
here are some more pics for the id of the axle

Sorry forgot about you there for a bit.

30 7 /16" axle shaft and they are c-clip type. I can see if I have any on the shelf...Or do you want brand NEW?

Spherical rod ends Summit racing or I can see if I have any in a parts box from my control arms.
