What carb to use?

I picked up a 71 350 Buick with a bunch of ?? parts in it. It has been overhauled, new cast pistons, bearings, lifters, cam, etc. On the receipt from the machine shop it just says "Crane Cam" and it has a TA performance aluminum intake, purchased 2 years ago. It runs great but the guy is keeping his Holley carb.

I don't know much about the cam, or what compression ratio the motor is, etc. and am wondering what my best bet is for a carb. I have a rebuilt quadrajet I can use, but am open to suggestions.

I am not trying for any serious performance, I just want it to sound and run well without too much trouble.(read that $$ and time)

    Any opinions?

i would guess any vacuum secondary carb that flows a max of 750-800cfm would be the easiest choice, especially with an engine where you're not sure of the specifics on some internals.

i think just a stock qjet jetted correctly would have that motor running just fine.:TU:

i like q-jets as i have had the best luck over holleys and gas mileage has been great with them too

I recommend the Edlebrock 650cfm Performer Carb with a manual choke. I have the exact same combo and it is great!
