Removed the exhaust on the stage to get ready for the 3" to be put on. As Dyl and I were working on it, my next door neighbor stopped by and said "I have some 2.5" spare pipe you can use"... He brought over a complete header to muffler, 2.5" mandrel exhaust!! So, that was installed. Just need to hang it. Have to bolt on the PS pump, solder some wires, get the directionals working, and it'll be at the Bass Pro Shop cruise at Patriot Place by the end of May!

I now understand why my old ones had self tappers in it. Had to remove wheels and hand drill each hole while pinning the skirt. Tedious doesn’t begin to explain it.

Took it to the shop for a couple minor touch ups. 7681DBD2-EA98-49F1-B535-D54B500524DE.jpeg

It isn't pretty but its in. Switching from drum to disc on the front so I need the disc MC. Went with the kit from inline. The rear line just barely fit. Needed a new line on the front. I found one at NAPA so I didn't have to mess with the double flare!

    What’s “not pretty” about it?
Looks great to me, I prefer function over looks:D

The old line is really squeezed in and looks crappy next to the new one, but you won't see much of it when the motor/headers are in :).

I stop thinking about what others think about my GS. My attitude been, "If you don't like it, go F-Yourself." It's mine and I'll do what I like.

Working on a 67 gs400. Radiator flush, new water pump done. Next up taking off the holley and edlebrok intake to put on a different intake with a quadrajet. Old intake will be posted later. Waiting for parts, replacing the trunk floor

    I'm tired, what a day.
I rented a Uhaul trailer and took my black buick from home and went to DMV. Got the VIN inspection and the title into my name.
Then drove it out 10 miles to work, dropped it off and picked up the white buick.
Back to DMV for an afternoon appointment. Got the VIN inspection and the title into my name.
Also ordered a new title for my challenger to remove lien holder.
Pushing cars on and off trailers is for younger men I have decided.

I moved the Stage 1 into the garage next to the Stage 2, I hope they can get along for a while.

gs engine.jpg gs rs.jpg gs int.jpg My convertible is finally back together again. Resealed timing cover, new flowcooler water pump, new radiator, installed my Poston headers, Edelbrock valve covers, fixed 1/4 window, bled the convertible top system, repaired original speedometer and my favorite part...the TKX 5 speed. Drove it through the neighborhood and it felt real good. Taking it out on the road later today.

Been a few weeks since I started mine up and took it anywhere. Been working on that damn truck... plus, it needed gas.

Had some things to do at lunch time, so I took the Buick. Filled it up at the local Shell. On the way home, the tach started jumping between 1500-1900 RPM, and I could hear and feel it missing. It never stalled though, and ran fine above and below that RPM range. After I'm done working or maybe tomorrow, I'll pop the hood and see if there are any loose ignition connections. Hopefully it's not the MSD 6AL messing up.

I got to take the convertible out on the road last night. I love how it drives and shifts with the TKX. Now it looks like it's going to rain all weekend here, so I'll have to wait to put some more miles on it. Now, the next project is putting my old 4 speed and a rebuilt 350 in my son's '70 Skylark convertible. I'm hoping to find him a 350 flywheel and or manual pedals at the Nationals in a few weeks. He's already started getting the old tired 350 ready to pull out of his car.

I did get it out a bit last night. A guy stops at a light with me. I'm about 4-5 cars deep and he could be only 2-3. He's in a 2005-2010 Mustang. He's maybe got 10-15 years on me? He says "Bad bitch ya got there! {while he flashes the "OK" sign} I had a Stage 1 {didn't everyone :D ? }"

About a mile later as I'm headed back home, I'm crossing another intersection and see an '86-90ish burgandy Trans Am with a 25-30 year old driving it. He points to me and gives a thumbs up and I point back to him and give a thumbs up. He threw a big grin as I went by him.

Just as I passed Mr Trans Am, a dude in an older Colorado pickup pulls next to me. He's likely about 65 or so? Pulls up next to me and flashes a thumbs up and then turns off at a side street. Interesting evening for sure.

Stupid Ford rear ends (swapped in 9"). Can't trust them at all

    Pretty odd, right?

Today I'm waiting for carb gaskets as I'm pretty convinced I have a vacuum leak or similar.

So Weds the wife wanted to take the Wildcat out to run some errands ... Ok Cool. I starts her up, back out of the garage and put the top down. Off she goes. Couple hours later she messages that the car starts but wont stay running. Sniper equipped so I have no idea whats up. Jump in a truck and head that way. few mins later she messages that she put fuel in it and now its fine. I know the tank was nearly full when she took it out. She gets home and later I go to put it away and it does the same thing. Got the top up and covered in the shop. will deal with it another day. Have no idea what was up with it but will get to the bottom of it.

Sat went racing. Last practice before BG. Gotta say this car leaves like a rocket 1.19 60'
