Land development consultant (subdivision or single project design and engineering to solve regulatory, political, permitting, grading, utility, drainage, surveying and mapping issues hindering my clients' vision for highest and best use of property). I start from a back of napkin sketch and take a property right through construction and occupancy. Some projects take 10 months (the last chair lift I did at a major ski resort); some take one or two decades to finally go vertical. I spent half a career in local government, the second half as a consultant to private sector and public sector clients.

I usted to be an EMT on the street and in a Emergency room in LA for 6 years, sadly its not enough money to live. With my experience I came to the conclusion I wanted to be a registered nurse either in the ER, on a helicopter or in the bone department (when people brake there bones) it was a rush saving people. And I would pray over everyone I worked on.

So I tried at my Class B commercial driver to get more money and went back to school. I worked full time and school partime until im at where im at now. I have completed all my prerequisites to enter nursing school and have scored super high on the entrance exam, so im waiting to get called. But Im really waiting for my wife to put her degree to work so i can go to work full time so i can go to nursing school. It will be a time of struggle, but we have been through worse.
    Soooooooo mean while.

I work a dirty job and when I tell people they always make a face lol. But I enjoy to work and give God thanks he gave me a strong body to complete the task. I work outside and am alone for most all day, I love it.

I work for the biggest and busiest porter potty company. My title is "pick up and delivery" but my truck has a small pump so I have to pump and clean them some times. Really just a big vacume, wamm bamm and your done. The heavy part is moving everything and making strong knotts to keep my load secure. I go places like military bases, construction sites, mountain tops, residential parties, county and govt emergencies.
Here is a picture of when i loaded a trailer unit, my truck that day was a rental. Its heavy work but I like it, it feels good having sweat on the forehead and money in the pocket.

I went to work in a grocery store as a bag boy when I was in high school. I continued working there as a stocker while I went to college. After graduating with a degree in Engineering Graphics in 1980 I got a job as an electrical drafter at a local engineering company. 39 years later I am still working in engineering as an E&I Technical Specialist. It has been a fun ride and given me a chance to travel all over the country and I got the opportunity to spend three months working in Moscow, Russia. Maybe one day I will retire, but no time soon.

I guess I left something out, two years into my first engineering job I got laid off so I went back to the grocery store since there were no engineering jobs available in the area. While working at the store I decided to do something that I had always wanted to do - join the Marines! I checked with my boss at the engineering company and he said that they would be calling me back to work in 6 months. I figured I could join my local Marine Reserve Center and be through with all my active duty training before I was called back to my old job.
Eleven weeks at Parris Island for basic training and eight weeks at Redstone Arsenal for my MOS training should leave me plenty of time. So I joined in late March and when I received my orders they said I was to report to Parris Island on Sept.28! At the time, they had so many guys joining the Marines that there was a six month delayed entry in effect. My recruiter forgot to mention this fact.
I got called back to work in June (earlier than expected), worked about four months and then had to take a six month leave of absence to complete my active duty training. But it all worked out O.K., my job was waiting for me when I got off of active duty.

Started out in the military for 4 years, came in when I was only 16 years old. Went to business school and was in sales until 2005, got into the automotive business by Audi and worked from the very bottom to the top at the dealership in the workshop department, ended as a service manager, but got kicked out because the CEO could not handle the truth. Was headhunted right away to an upcoming chain as a Partner, and now we are about to dominate the market in service for automotive. I will only be in it for some time, because like others said, this is the most stressful job, because you always work with crazy deadlines and stress from 7am to 5pm. I hope to score in 3-5 years, sell my share and move to US and run a drag strip.

I was a Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist for 42 years with registries in diagnostic ultrasound and X-ray. Retired 7 years ago from Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital in Manistique, Mi. I ran the Nuclear Medicine Dept. there for 24 years. I built my 470 Regal as a retirement present to myself. Took 5 years and hit the road the year before I retired.

Worked as a propulsion technician for the Air Force both as an active duty member as well as a civilian/reservist for 35 years on the USAF Hurricane Hunters. Retired a few years back when I got the chance to build an A&P school for the county. Put that school together, wrote curriculum, syllabus, went through the FAA certification process and now we’re in our third year of classes. Great feeling putting guys to work in the aviation industry. Hope to retire from that in another 5 or six years too. Then I build cars........lol

I own an independent insurance agency in Marysville, OH. I bought it February 1, 1981 at the tender age of 22 and instantly became the most in debt 22 year old you would have ever known. Prior to that I worked for Kroger for 6 years through high school and college.. I have run the agency for many, many years with a part-time secretary and lots and lots of long hard days. 10 years ago, my oldest son, Drew, joined me in the agency after he graduated college with a degree in history. He soon found after graduation, there is zero money in history and I was ever so proud to have him join me in the agency. He is poised to take over soon.

This week, I had a pretty serious medical scare. Landed me in the ER, on my birthday no less, for most of the day. I'm 61 now, and starting to slow down just a little. I went into work today and was worn out by noon. Drew has it all in control, he's a super smart kid and will far excel my efforts. We're doing well, medical issues not withstanding. Will know more about those medical results in a week or so. I'll be fine, but this has really zapped me.
