What gear choice would you use??

I have a 71 skylark 350, and am installing posi. I have a choice of 3.08 posi gears or 3.23. Which would you choose. I don;t race, but enjoy every now and then getting up on the highway, is 3.23 to high?

stock auto tranny? 3.08s....

 

If it's an auto tranny you'll like the 3.23's better.Especially if you ever do decide to take it down the track someday.:3gears:

 

Nah, no track. I have a stock tranny, but will be starting a 4 speed conversion in the spring. I am doing the rear over the next two weeks. I just enjoy driving the car on the weekends. 350, w/headers and mild cam. The current tranny is stock.

 

I shouold mention, I currently have 2.56 one leggers. I have a 3 series posi carrier. Would I notice a big diff with the 3.08's

 

What cam are you running?

 

Not quite as much as with the 3.23's.
