    Question:

What gears would i have im my '70sky?
I usually drive the car on streets not highway, knowing that, should i change the gears?
To have a better take off of the line, what size gear should i get?

    thanks for any advice,

    Which transmission/carburetor?

    Standard ratios -

    3 speed manual - 2.93
    TH350 - 2bbl carb (no A/C) - 2.56
    TH350 - 4bbl carb or 2bbl carb with A/C- 2.73

The above is found in the 1970 chassis manual :Smarty:

So since i have 2.73 is that a good setup for the streets?
Or should i go down a bit?

    I have a 4bb cArb(Q-Jet) and TH350

You have Buick 68-70 8.2 inch rear gear set which is not remade. For the street I would not go numerically higher than a 3.23 which is the standard gear set for a 70 GS 350. In between you have the option of 2.93 gears. Unless you find NOS these will be found used.
