What gm posi will fit under my 61 Special

Does anybody know what rearend would fit in my 61 special? I have installed a 72 350 four barrel with a th350 trans I used the driveshaft out of my buddys 64 olds f85. Now I need posi. Can anyone help?

 

I put a 69 Chevelle 8.2 10 bolt in,I had to modify upper and lower control arms.Its a little wider ,but I have 8 in rims on w/6 in backspacing and they dont stick out at all.

Yes, your biggest problem is the upper control arms. the width is usually not a problem with after market rims and the 4 lug axles will have to go also. Jim

Do you know of a rearend thats smaller and that would fit better?

You need some sort of upper control arm set-up maybe a G-body might work like 78-87 GM cars. Monte malibu regal etc. Jim

 

How about some pics of that car, and maybe a buildup outline of all the modifications?

OK, I found it. Looks fun, and loud! What's the trans tunnel look like now?

 

I put a 4 spd behind the 455,the tunnel is alot bigger than stock,I had to switch to buckets,but the wow factor is great.
