What if a person rebuilding there engine and not nowing a whole lot of difference between early buick engines used a lifter for solid push rods and they used pushrods with holes in them. Ok lets say they also did not know that if you switch lifter and pushrod type you must plug oiling hole in the head or the block and left it open as well. Would this cause a problem cause lifters not to get enough oil to hold there prime? Come on guys I know some of you are a :Smarty: . :beer

lifters holding their prime is going to be the least of your worries. have to think you've trashed your topend, lifters with holes in the top are designed to go with hollow pushrods. no other way to get the oil to the topend

solid top lifters work with blocks that oil via the galleys to get the topend lubed.

sounds like you're going to need some new rocker arms and the correct lifters to get going again.

BTW, might want to change your sig to :

*Who* ever said buicks aren't fun, most not have one!
