1 owner 87,000 miles interior is emaculent (protective plastic still around radio bezel !) Nice Mike Garrison paint job, 16 yrs old, still looks good. wheel wells were scrubbed out every year by hand! T Tops Kirban exaust ATI superpump Red Armstrong Chip Fresh motor w/ club cam (non #'s matching) fresh tranny (less than 2k on rebuid) Centerline wheels, hoosier tires (fat 'n skinny combo) and much, much, more How much is this worth. my friend has lost interest in this car (Looooooooooooooong story) The nicest daily driven car. He is considering selling. I would buy if I had the room and time to devote to it.
I say $12k easily if it was to be sold right away. I'd jack it up and drain the gas and hide it away for another 5-10 years if possible though.
You're a little low... NADA Vehicle pricing shows a pretty stock GN at $18,500. Mileage might bring it down some, plus there are add-ons. A good place to start.... ShariB
These cars are one of the few late model cars that are worth as much as they were new. I would say that the prices will continue to climb-look at it this way,how many cars can compete with a GN?-there aren't many.
Actually.....for whatever reason, the TurboBuick market is very soft right now - a good time for being a buyer. I'd suggest taking a look over at TurboBuick.com in their for sale forum and go back quite a few months to get a good idea of what current ASKING prices are
You might also check ebay. Having just sold my GN ($12k), I would have to agree with Alan's comment above. Took several months, and was probably about 60% of what I had into it. 120k miles with newer paint, rebuilt engine, turbo, tranny, etc.... I know of a couple of turbo cars currently for sale, one a GN with under 50k, very nice car, around $12k, another a turbo T, under 60k miles, almost all stock, under $10k.
Gale's GN. You'd have to kill mark and pry the keys out of his cold dead hands!(probably the same for his GS350) Gale's has been parked for so long that he got over his turbo withdrawl (those with a GN or T-type will under stad what I say). He'll probably go to a BBB car.
The last time I looked at Gales the paint was breaking down on the upper surfaces. It was painted in 1987 and has been over polished all of its life. (go figure) As I see it Rob its needing a paint job so keep that in mind.
Curious, why did it have to be repainted when it was still new? Was it wrecked, or was the paint from the factory that bad? I know they messed up a lot of them, but I hadn't heard of them being repainted that quickly.
Factory paint was that bad. I remember my bro-in-law almost bought an '86 that was for sale at the 87 Nats, already repainted.
