A friend of mine has a 1966 Impala convertible that he is selling I have been thinking of buying it or helping him to sell it. It is in need of restoration, he said the floors need replaced but I looked at it today and it looks pretty solid otherwise. It does need totally restored but has ne seat cobers on it.
It is a numbers matching 427, turbo 400, 12 bolt. not an SS. it has a bench seat. interior is light blue, exterior was dark, metalic blue. It has a factory tach where the clock would normally be. motor is original never been rebuilt. and I think he said it is fairly low miles, around 60K I think.

So what do you think it might be worth? don't have any pics right now but may be able to get some on the 22nd when I go back to see him.

chris i cant tell you exactly what its worth.there are very few 427 cars.my father in law collects 66 impalas and does not have a vert yet. if your friend does decide to sell it let me know when he comes up with a price i might be able to sell it for you. all though if i show him another car he and i might both be looking for a new place to live lol.

4500 will sell this car quickly if its a matching number car. Very rare in a non SS

yea i would have to say its pretty rare, almost as rare as the 2 66 427 four speed wagons that were made. one went for 110k at barret jackson 2 years back and the other one is actually here in northern oh. needs work and the guy still wants 45k for it.

To be clear rare doesn't always mean valuable but a BB Convertable is a easy sell when its got the hard to find parts. Many new repo parts are available for these cars. So its much easier to restore now. My wifes uncle had a 69 427 4 spd non SS hardtop and while I did not end up with it I sure wanted it.
